Yippity Skippity!

I'm highly caffeinated as I write this post, and since I'm already a generally excitable person, I'm feeling especially exuberant as I report to all you Kansas and Missouri folks that Matt and I are COMING HOME, Baby! Well, for 10 days anyway. Mark your calendars. The Asian-Kirkland-Caucasian-Invasion is coming to a state near you on April 6-16. I can't wait!!! I'm finally feeling really comfortable and at home in Hong Kong (so much so that I realize it's gonna be really hard to move away some day), but, man, it's gonna be great to be back on American soil for a few days. (Something I never thought I'd admit to missing---American soil, that is. Furthermore, I promise never to use the phrase "Asian-Kirkland-Caucasian-Invasion" ever again.)

So, I'll be sure to follow up with more details when I have them about when and where we'll be during our trip. We'll have a meet and greet in Lawrence at some point.

See you all VERY soon!

Ok don't tell a postpartum sister-in-law that you're thinking of staying in Hong Kong in the middle of an exciting post like this. You make my emotions go crazy! I want you to love where you live but only tell me what you hate about it and your plans to move to the other big city: STL. We can't wait to see you!!!! We'll party like it's 1999. (remember when you graduated high school and met Matt for the first time! What a year!)

yeah, STL might be where all the cool kids are, but HK is where all the cool kids take their vacation. So when are you coming?

ps the gosas/lohs arrive in less than 2 hours!

Have no fear, my lovely sis in law. I'm too much of a mid-west girl at heart to live in the far east for too long. we'll be back before you know it!

ps HONG KONG is very stinky and the streets are dirty. Oh, and people eat frogs and snakes here. Ewww!

You know... that is just so special of you two?!?!? I mean... all and all... we don't know each other all that much... and yet you choose to return to the country on my birthday... just to honor me and for no other reason I'm sure. You guys rock. You are rock stars
