A Big Ol' ThankYou

Thanks to all my loyal readers out there. Your support and advice for my goobered eye came rolling in from all corners of the world wide web, and for that I am grateful. I bypassed a trip to the doctor after all and am feeling good about my decision. I took heart in the words from my personal nurse (my mother) who told me to "quit overreacting" or "stop being so tragic." [The actual words were written in German so a bit of the meaning lost in translation, but I think you get the point.]
So again, thank you all for your kind words. I know I'm on the road to recovery.

Only really tough women can pull off wearing an eyepatch. Good job, sweetheart.

I beg to differ. Everyone can pull off an eyepatch. oh, except pirates.

Good to hear you're coming to terms with the intrusion.

Why are we talking about pulling off an eye-patch? Obviously the only people who can do that are the ones who put them on in the first place. But that still doesn't heal their hideous deformity.

This is such a serious issue, and I can't believe that you are all taking this so lightly. I am highly offended. (Am I wearing an eye patch in that photo?!)

I might add that this doesn't look like any ordinary eye patch. It certainly looks like it was especially crafted by a tough woman for a tough woman. Erika, with your fashion sense and influence I bet you will start seeing more and more eye patches appear when you are out and about. This trend has the potential to really catch.

And now that I think about it, why not make an eye patch to match the outfit you wear daily. How about a polka dot eye patch? Or a stripey eye patch? You can begin selling your own line of eye patches along side the novel novels. Whadya think?

I guess the secret is out. Yes, I made that eyepatch myself out of some old curtains.
