I get annoyed with blog authors who spend most of their breath, so to speak, apologizing for not blogging. You'll get none of that from me. It is what it is, my friendly readers. I love you all, but I'm prone to sporadic bursts of inspiration. I'm fickle. But thanks to all three of you that stick with me and stop by on occasion to check on me.
That said, what a fabulous few months I've had since I last wrote! I am SO IN LOVE with my little creature Felix and I just can't get enough of him.
Just this moment he drifted off to sleep snuggled up in the sling while I typed. So, so precious. Motherhood is a crazy ride and it's amazing how quickly it changes you to the core. Felix is a really funny kid and everyday I'm getting more insight into who he is. He's rarin' to go and I'm sure the second he's truly mobile, the last of my pregnancy weight-gain will fall right off (a girl can dream, can't she?) as I'm chasing him around. He's bound to be a handful. These days he's busy finding the most efficient way to get his feet in his mouth and slobbering up a storm, while I spend my days balancing him and the housework and doing my darndest to keep him from licking the cat. One creature in the house with hairballs is enough, thank you very much.
It's a total joy to see Matt as a father and it makes me even more crazy, silly in love with him. He's just SO good with Felix and is way more successful than I am at eliciting giggles out of him. Matt is willing to go along with my granola-mom antics and keeps his opinions to himself (mostly) when I dress Felix up in ridiculous hats. We're a happy little family unit, what can I say?
We've been snapping photos of Felix like mad and you can see them on our Flickr page. It's amazing to see how much he's grown/changed in the last 5 months. That site is often the best way to catch up with what we've been doing.
My life is very full right now and I'm looking forward to what the months ahead will bring. I've had a chance to get back into my crafting and participate regularly in trunk shows with The Handmade Revolution. It feels good to get back into my creative groove.
That's all for now, folks. I'll be back again when the mood strikes.
